Our DVA Nursing Program is funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and operates across Southern Tasmania.
Eligible Persons, who are Gold Card holders, and eligible White Card holders, may be referred to our program by General Practitioners, Specialist Doctors, and Hospital Discharge Planners. Self referral or referral via a family member is also possible but a valid written referral from an authorised source will be required within 7 days.
Services to Eligible Persons include:
- Nursing services – such as assistance with wound care, medication, complex technical care, assessments, support and short-term monitoring.
- Personal Care assistance – such as assistance to undertake personal hygiene, assistance with mobility, dressing and undressing.
